| Our Client is a growing, family run dairy specializing in the production of butter, speciality flavoured butters and cow’s milk mozzarella located in the village of Baltonsborough, 5 miles outside Glastonbury in Somerset. They are seeking additional Temporary Dairy Production Operatives to join their busy, friendly, and hardworking production team to help them produce, pack and dispatch orders. Duties will vary because on different days of the week they change the products being produced. For example, from butter to mozzarella. Typically, upon joining, duties will be mainly weighing, packing, labelling, boxing and palletizing and as you learn more you will become involved in other parts of the production process such as butter and cheese making and machine operating (after specific training). This food production work is within a high hygiene environment with strict personal hygiene requirements. Full Health & Safety and Job training will be provided together with any hygiene clothing or P.P.E. the assignment may require. To successfully undertake these roles candidates will need to be able and willing to work on their feet throughout the working day undertaking a variety of manual handling, repetitive, food production and packing tasks. Butter and cheese can be heavy and many tasks within this assignment are “hands on” so a good level of physical fitness will be required to successfully undertake this work. An ability to work accurately and at a good rate will be essential. Good team players are being sought. Given the rural location (in Baltonsborough 5 miles outside Glastonbury) candidates will need to have their own transport. Free car parking is available. Working days and hours for this assignment are Monday to Friday, 07.30 to 16.30 daily. A 42.5 hour working week. The hourly pay rate for this assignment is £8.95 per hour. These are longer term, full-time temporary assignments. This would-be ideal work for a gap year student or someone seeking a longer-term temporary assignment that may have the potential to progress into a permanent position (temp to perm). | |||||
