| This leading online retailer specialising in the toy, model and hobby sector are looking for additional temporary help between now and Christmas to bolster their warehouse team in Glastonbury, Somerset in advance of their seasonal peak in orders. They have recently moved into brand new purpose-built premises, offering a great working environment. Duties will include picking & packing goods for dispatch and receiving & checking stock in. To successfully undertake this assignment, applicants will need to be able to work quickly and accurately from packing lists. This is “light, clean industrial work” suited to active candidates who can work accurately at a good rate. Typically, members of the Packing Team will pack 400 to 500 parcels per day ready for daily dispatch. A good team-player is being sought with a willing & helpful attitude. Working days and hours will be Monday to Friday from 08.30 to 17.30 but toys are a very seasonal business and at peak (in advance of Christmas) longer working hours will be required with earlier starts (08.00) and later finishes (18.00). A normal working week will be circa 40 hours but at peak in advance of Christmas weekly working hours may be up to 50 and will include Saturday working. The pay rate for this assignment will be £9.50 per hour. This could be an ideal seasonal, local temporary opportunity between September and Christmas 2022 for a bright and hardworking gap year student seeking to work and save to fund future studies or travels in the New Year! | |||||
